This is going to be a busy weekend. I have several seminars on both daylilies at iris at local nurseries. Saturday morning I will be The Garden Party Nursery in Poth, Texas from 10 am until 11 am talking about daylilies and iris. Saturday afternoon I will be speaking on daylilies and iris at Green Acres Nursery in Gonzales Texas at 2 pm. Both of these nurseries are family owned and operated with an intriguing selection of plants. I will be bringing both extra daylilies and beared iris in pots and some bare root daylilies to these seminars.
On Sunday, I will be at the Antique Rose Emporium in San Antonio from 1 pm until 4pm. I will be speaking on iris (next month I will be there on 4/19 speaking on daylilies). If you have never been to the Antique Rose Emporium, you have a treat in store for yourself. Aside from a fantastic selection of roses (hence the name), they have a wide variety of plants, and great landscaping vingettes to give you ideas for your own landscape. After my seminar, Antique Rose Emporium will also be hosting a seminar on veggie gardening – a great bonus these days!

You don’t need to rsvp for these and you are more than welcome to bring friends or family members with you. At the seminars I have done in the past, it is amazing how many kids are really quite interested in gardening in general, so don’t be shy and bring them along. Perhaps it is a hobby you can both share.
